Elandsdoorn’s ‘Miracle’ Art Project
In South African, 200km northeast of Johannesburg, DYW visited the township of Elandsdoorn. At this rural African décor we experienced a week full of creativity and were able to bring joy and hope to the youngsters and children of this community pressured by HIV and AIDS.
During this week we have seen these children dream and express themselves and their feelings by drawing. In just a couple of days of creative gathering, we literally have seen self-esteems grow again by building something beautiful together – the Grand Exhibition “My Elandsdoorn”.
